Musical Tether

In his eyes it's his passion,
In her's it's competition,
She keeps him away from music,
He knows that it's her mission,

She pulls him away,
Each and every day,
His stress builds to regret,
Regret of choosing her,

Why take him away from what he loves?
That's truly quite absurd,
She loses his love,
It's gone too far,

He needs to let go or he'll fall apart,
She's a musical tether,
He can't give it up forever
