Forgetting

I walk down the broken road,
Trying to make it in this cruel world,
I have ran away from problems before,
And trying to forget in the process,
Never getting to far.

I always kept saying,
"Keep going",
Everything was going good for me,
Until I chose the wrong path,
I lost everything that meant something to me.

And why did I do that,
An easier, less painful path,
I wished I had everything back,
But I don't,  
So I keep moving forward.

Hoping everything comes back,
But I realize,
That's not going to happen,
So I keep moving on,
Forgetting the impossible.
