As the night goes by
I look at the night sky
Thinking of you every day
Wishing you never really went away

Still wishing you could come back
Wishing you could return
Not Knowing the love i lack
I still have a lot to learn


I will never know how or when 
In my hand a paper and pen
I write the lyrics to my life
Just know your words hurt like a knife

I still don't quite understand 
How you could let go of my hand
Push me away, never trying
But inside you dream of flying


I ask if you remember me
You don't say we were never to be
I ask another question fearfully
You reply your not mad at me

But when i try to enter your life
You push me away,again just like a knife
You keep your doors closed
Your heart secretly enclosed

The wind whispers goodbye
The Leaves' whispers rustle by
They tell a story of long ago
Of how you left me with a broken soul.
