Alone

Dissentient

From childhood's hour, I have not been
No, not the same as them, I had not seen
I could not yield
My passions to the common field

My heart would not beat
To the sounds of their feet
Everything I loved,
I loved alone.

And I realized the existence of my pain
I was not loved and my life was but in vain
I was an alien for sure
Oh that they always assured

My love was deranged
Or so they would arrange
And everything I loved,
I loved alone.

They were true actors
But they didn't take it into factor
That I saw right through
And so they tried for all they knew

But it was too late
The child within me had been consumed in hate
Light had never made its move
And so darkness consumed
And the child grew cold,
Anger his source

Even to his death,
No one recognized him
Behind his mask,
Hid a pained plea
And everything he loved,
he loved alone.

Yeah. When you feel like your the only one like when your friends and no one else can ever understand why you like the things you do or why some things bother you while others don't. They can never understand.
