heartbreak

crissy

he said he loved me
that he would never leave. 
he wasn't like the others
he wouldn't hurt me.

that night he went to the bar
i went to bed but couldn't sleep,
so i waited for him.
when he came home he was loud

he called my name,
but i didn't come.
he was drunk,
he would be violent

he came and found me
he picked me up and 
he threw me on the bed
i screamed in pain. 

he left the room and i tried to run,
but he was already back at the door
he ran to me and through me back.
i landed on the floor hard and screamed again

i told him he was drunk
he kicked me in the stomach
i curled to a ball.
he kicked my face and i straightened up

i heard a car
i heard the door
he went to open it.
i heard his truck and hauled butt
