I was once loved, but was incomplete,
never knew what I was missing until you gave me a bite,
was I to go back? I had tasted the best,
I wanted nothing less.

So Left my beloved and ran to your arms,
behind me a broken heart and quiet sobs, 
I never knew such bliss and so I dived,
head first to your wondrous world.

Now I cry and dare not show you,
For you wanted nothing but my friendship,
I was not enough for you, yet you said nothing,
until when I wanted you most, then you went cold.

Now I can only look at you with sadness,
and give you a bitter smile as you pursue your next prey,
Now that we are 'best of friends' how do I tell you,
that I still love you?

All I want is your embrace, the last one, you owe me that,
but what happens when I want another? 
So now you are the keeper of my broken soul,
reminding me everyday of what I lost.

You keep a string of broken hearts on your chain,
Yet you cant even tell which is mine,
