Deception in His Hands

She's 17; we'll put together, open minded, responsible, well respected, always happy, never wore her emotions on her sleeve, liked by everyone and easy going. Him, 19; drug inflicted, careless for others, selfish, a natural liar, and ironically likable. How they met was rather average. He is friends with her older brother. He told her brother that He thought She was beautiful when He saw Her coming home from school one fall afternoon. She over heard them discussing about Her. He was saying flattering things about Her. She wasn't sure what to think. Was He being serious? Did He just want to score? Either way She had to find out.
A few days passed and He gets Her number and starts texting Her. Sounding quite interested via text, She begins to adore Him and His charming choices of compliments. She's not sure if She should tell Him how She feels. She ends up doing it as well. Falling for His well spoken words, She becomes none the less, mesmerized by His un-doubtful charm. She wants to see Him. She talks to Her brother and Her brother invites Him over. He's over but doesn't acknowledge that She is there. He stays for a good 2 hours. Get's high with Her brother. She becomes confused and numb to his endearing ignorance toward Her. She goes for a nice run.
She comes back and He's gone. Frantic and concerned She asks Her brother what He said about Her. The brother exclaims that He likes Her and wants to hang out with Her more. That night He comes over and they hang out for a little while. Awkward silences are shared consistently between Her and Him. Finally, He asks Her something. She becomes nervous, blushes, and frazzled. She doesn't know how to respond to the simple question, "How are You?" She just giggles and says, "Fine." He knows She likes him as well. He makes it obvious that He likes Her. He does the childish thing, poking Her. She pretends it tickles and giggles while giving Him a gentle shove. She wants more than just a poke or two. She wants to be held by Him and kissed by Him as well. Is She going too fast? No, because She knows He wants as well. An hour or two pass. Its time for Him to go. He asks Her to walk Him to his car. She responds with a flirty, "Yes." She knows what is coming. The kiss. The kiss She's been coveting ever since they started talking. They make their way outside to His car. He gives Her one of the best hugs any man could give to a girl they cared about. He leans in for the kiss. She returns with more passion than He expects. However He feels equally the same and adjusts himself. The long awaited kiss is now turning into emotions. She grows more attached to him. They finish up the passionate but romantic kiss. He says his goodbyes and claims to want to see Her again. She thinks to herself, "He really likes me, this could go somewhere." Little does She know that's the last time He would talk to Her and see Her. A day goes by, She texts him. Nothing. No reply. He's avoiding Her. What did she do? She become concerned about herself.
This affects Her mood toward everyone around Her. She's mad at herself for falling for such an obvious illusion. She got played so easily. He was THE illusion. He was nothing but a man full of deceit. He played Her like any old board game. Check and Mate. Tossed her to the side like an old toy. All those things He said to her. Weren't nothing but deception. False. Unreal. Fake. This is why She doesn't show Her emotions. She figures, Why does it matter? He got what He wanted. Why can't She ever get that Guy She deserves. Guys like Him are the reason why Girls are emotional ships bound to be sunk. They're the iceberg in a sea of fog. She reflects on that for a day or two. Then comes to a realization that if there are guys like Him. There has to be guys the complete opposite of him also. He was the test that She aced. Never again will She fall for deception.
