one little thing can change everything

28 Jul, 2010 05:05 AMi started working at a fast food store when i was quite young. on my first shift i met this boy named Jason, we got along really well talking about everything and anything as we were so close in age and were the two youngest employees there. we worked almost every shift together and began to get really close. everytime i was around him i got a funny feeling inside of me ( i know you always hear about 'that' feeling in movies but i had never experienced a feeling like this before ) after a while everyone knew that we liked each other. we were so silly we told everyone but each other. people made jokes about us going out but we would both just laugh about it. his parents were really into his education and he had up comming exams and his parents wouldn't let him go out with friends until after all the exams were over. on one particular night he said to me " would you go out with me if i asked you? " i of course said yes because i was so into him, then he replied ok good cause i plan on asking right after my exams. i was in complete owe, i could not wait and i could not stop smiling. one night we had a shift together and we were all doing the end of night cleaning up. jason had to mop the floors and as it is a big area it takes quite a while. somebody spill something onto the floor right after he had finished mopping. the manager told him to clean it up ( just the little section which had the spill on it ) he made a fuss about it, asking who did it in a joking way but the manager didn't take it like this she told him that he had to mop the entire floor all over again because he was complaining. he said no and then she sent him home and his parent told him to quit. the manager later said to me that she didn't send him home because he was complaining, she sent him home because he was showing off in front of me, apparently like he always does when i'm around ( although i had never noticed ) she said that he had to be put into his place or he was going to become too over confident and think he was better then he actually was. she also stated that if i had of said that it was me who did it he would not have cared. everything i had felt in the past year came crashing down. months and months pasted and we had not talked then we got into contact via facebook :) although it was different. facebook did not substitute for seeing each other in real life. then a whole year past. the other night i randomly bumped into him at a friends party, we talked and danced and had a really good time, and at the end of the night as i said goodbye to him he gave me a kiss on the cheek which made my whole body tingle. then he simply stated " see you at the next party " i guess his feelings for me didn't come back like mine did for him. i guess it probably wouldn't have worked anyways, he came from a rough area went to public school and was a little bit of a rebel and i am the good girl who goes to private school, although we do live in the same area.
