My Best Love Story

There's this girl who went through the worst breakup of her time. She loved him a lot, and he left her after 4 months because he thought he couldn't make her happy. It wasn't that, it was because she was having problems at school, home, and herself in general. She was heartbroken. She wouldn't eat, she was failing in school, and was always so down.
Then, she met a friend over her summer break. He was funny, nice and sweet. She talked her problems out with him and he comforted her and made her feel better. He showed her he really cared and she loved that. He could tell when she was laughing, crying, just about anything because he knew her so well. That's how much he paid attention to her. She always wanted someone like that, who could tell those things without even looking at her. He's the only one who listened to her out of the very few friends she had. They got to know each other so well and he got her to start smiling a little again. She started falling for him harder each week because he was just a perfect example of what she was looking for. But he had a girlfriend...
About a month later she went to his house. She went there because she wanted a hug and she wanted to feel someone's arms around her. She ended up crying in front of him because of all the things she was spilling to him, and he knew she liked him. And he liked her too. It was getting dark but she didn't wanna go home. They kissed for the first time and she was in total denial. She didn't want to believe that she was in love with him and she didn't want to ruin his relationship with his girlfriend. So she walked home shortly after crying and denying the fact that she wanted someone she couldn't have.
Later that week, she got a text that he broke up with his girlfriend, and he wanted her to come over. And she did. She planned to walk home with him after school and they met at the tennis courts. He had to go back in the high school to get something, and on the way out, he held her hand. She was shocked and happy. They walked like that all the way to his house. When they got home, he sat on the couch. She sat with him, And leaned on him. They were the cuddly type so they layed down together. She rested her head on his shoulder and fell asleep a couple times. They talked about things that would make her feel better and laugh, and he would do simple things to get her to smile. This continued for about a month or two more, into early September. They agreed to start dating then, technically on August 31, 2012. They really liked each other and she felt like she was safe and wanted there. But their age differences, were risky. She was 15, and he was 17. She was in 9th grade, and he was a junior. She didn't think age mattered, nor did he. They grew really close in a matter of a month or two getting to know each other, and she wanted to show him that she loved him. But they did it in the wrong way. They ended up showing it through sex, and they knew what the consequences were, and apparently doing what they wanted was wrong.
They walked home together everyday after school until the snow hit. They both got rides from school and she wasn't allowed over until his grades were better. She re read the letters he wrote her, every night. She missed seeing him everyday with those strong arms to hold her and make sure she was safe, she missed his voice telling her he loved her, and his smile kissing her lips. The only thing she could do was text and call him. She was only allowed over of Friday and Saturdays...
Valentines day, they were together 6 1/2 months. It was Thursday and she was made an exception for a weekday. He got her a bear, a rose, and chocolate. No one had ever done that for her before. She loved him more and more each and every day.
The next month... Her mother found a letter astray in her room. She read it, and found that the two had done what most couples do, and she immediately went to talk to her daughter about the letter. She cried and begged her mother not to take him away, and to let her keep the only thing she had ever loved in her life. Her mother then went to the boyfriends house ignoring her daughters plea, to explain to the adults there. She called him, crying and running from home, with no destination of a specific place, and only to cry and blame herself for throwing it all away. The mother begged her to come but she refused. She went to the bridge close to her boyfriends, and planned to jump. She couldn't take the pain and suffering if she were to lose such a wonderful and perfect person who had gotten her through the worst. She got on the first rail, second, then the third. And she cried harder the higher she got and her thoughts made her so dizzy, and worrying about everything all at once. Then he called. He was begging her not to jump. He wanted to be with her and she desperately wanted to be with him. He changed her mind and he saved her. She got down, and kept walking. She called her friend, to drive her home.
She went home to find her mother tackle her in a hug, crying and thanking god that she was home safe. She went straight to her room, dead silent. No facial expression or heartbeat. Moments later, her father and stepmother show up. He was not allowed to come in the house, so she kept her distance from the angry father. He yelled at her, threw some names at her, and threatened to call the police on the incident that happened long ago. He didn't know the whole story, so she dint feel the need to talk to him when all he was gonna do is hit her. She went back to bed and her father left with the choice he was making the next day. Her boyfriend told her that they went allowed to have contact, but it was a lie made by his aunt.
Later that week, she acted as if nothing was wrong. She went to school and talked to her friends like she normally did. In her gym class, she got called down to the office. A CPS lady spoke with her. The following Friday, she had a forensic interview. Her and her mother didn't think it was necessary, for this to be brought about. She spoke with another woman, and told her firmly it was nothing close to rape in all questions involving it.
A few weeks later, she was informed she wasn't the victim. She wasn't surprised at that. The following April, he had a court date set for probation. She was so happy to hear that probation was the only thing they could do. But along with that, they couldn't see, or talk to each other at all for a month. She felt at fault for everything. They had a Saturday together before his court date on Monday, and spent 4 hours together. They cried when they parted. They couldn't let each other go. It wasn't goodbye.
He had it rescheduled for another day. That meant they had more time to talk to each other and be able to be happy. But she still missed how it all used to be. She couldn't believe this was still the same relationship she had 8 months ago. It had a disturbing twist. They still continue to talk secretly, and see each other every once in a while, and enjoy the possibly last moments they have. His name is Matt and my name is Brandi. And this is where we are now. And I am in love with him.
