There once was a girl, who had dreamed all her life about finding her soul mate. She was the worlds biggest hopeless romantic, always dreaming about love at first sight; the kind of love that happens when you look at someone and time around you freezes. The only thing that is in your line of vision is that person, and vice versa. She'd been in many relationships, which didn't really last long, seeing that she was only 13. One of the relationships was really special, though. But it wasn't meant to be, and after they broke up, she was devastated. But she vowed that she would keep searching for that one special person. She dated another boy after that who used her. She was so distraught that she didn't see that he was just using her sexually. It brought back flash backs of when her father raped her, which was extremely hard for her. But then, something amazing happened. She had gone to the mall with her friend, and was talking to the store clerk, when this handsome young man walked in with a big smile on his face and a jovial attitude. He caught her attention immediately. Time froze around her, and all she could see was this boy. Being the bold, outgoing girl that she was, she simply called back to the boy as she was leaving the store, "Hey, come walk with us." and the boy did just that. Even though the girl felt bad for her friend who was merely tagging along, the boy and girl talked the for the whole hour she was there. When she had to leave, she simply asked the boy "Do you think I'm cute?" The boy smiled and nodded shyly. She took out a sharpie and wrote her number on his arm.
After that, they talked on the phone everyday. She started to realize that she was falling in love with him. He was kind, unique, and so articulate. One day, when she confessed this to him, he replied, "I've been waiting for you to say that, because I love you too." She was ecstatic. They made plans to see each other, and he surprised her by showing up on her 14th birthday, despite the fact that he lived some 480 miles away. It was the best birthday present she ever received. After he left, though, her evil step dad found out. "You are not allowed to date!" he shouted. "He's turning 17 in a few days! And you JUST turned 14! You couldn't possibly know what love is, you are only 14 and wouldn't know love if it hit you in the ass!" She couldn't stop crying. She was forced to make a decision. She called him and left a message. She apologized that she could never see him again, and stated that all she wanted for him was to be happy. She knew that she loved him dearly, but she figured that she wasn't right for him. It was the hardest thing she ever had to do. He called her back, pleading not to leave him. She immediately promised, against her better judgement, "Don't worry, we'll make this work. I promise." He stated that "Once I have feelings like this for someone, they never go away. This is so rare and special, and I meant it when I said I loved you. I still mean it, I still love you." They made a plan that he would wait for her until she was 18. Though they said they would just stay friends, they still confessed their love to each other. But her dad was watching like a hawk, and she had to call him scarcely and in secret. She believed that he was going to wait, because he was different, and very serious. They had so much in common, that way. That girl is still 14, and there is still 4 more years waiting ahead of them. The only thing that keeps her from crying her eyes out is the dream that they will someday be together again. She realizes that a lot can change in 4 years, and she is prepared for the possibility that things might not work out, and she is okay with that. But she still dreams, and he still confesses his love to her, which is important. They are two souls in love, and no matter what obstacles are in the way, you can never truly keep two hearts that are bound apart.

Woah you are so lucky. I am fourteen as well, and I am just as hopeless a romantic as you are. All the boys in my grade are douche bags and i'm just waiting for Mr. Right to come along. Any advice? Good luck with your relationship. I dream that one day I'll find my Mr. Right. Especially in Ireland. i have a thing for guys with Irish accents!

Kate, I am just as romantic as you are. This story is exactly, well almost exactly what happened to me. The guy I like, we can't be together for another 4 years. My dad is the same way. He loves me way too much.
My guy is willing to wait and I'm glad yours is too

Thank you all so much!
Kate, don't give up hope. You deserve to find your Mr. Right, and you will, I just know it!
Rona, thank you and I am happy to hear that your guy will wait. God bless and good luck!
Pearl, yes this is a true story. But I said my step father found out. My step father abuses me verbally and physically but not sexually. My biological father violated me. And I know I am young, but whatever will happen will happen. It was meant to happen at this time. God bless you too!
