In the Waiting Process

I was six years old when my beautiful baby brother was born. I wasn't an only child anymore and I was ecstatic! My mom was diagnosed with lung and ovarian cancer when he was only six months old. I never understood how dangerous that was back then. My mom would basically live at the hospital. I missed her but my grandma said it would make her better so I never complained. My dad was working two jobs trying to keep up with the hospital bills. When he wasn't working, he was at the hospital with my mom. I rarely ever saw either of them. My grandma would watch over my brother and I. She was old and couldn't do everything that a normal babysitter would. I took on the role. I basically raised my brother alone at the age of six. I changed diapers, put him to sleep, and soothed... [Read More]

The last words with my brother

DarknessAngel

24 Nov, 2012 02:56 PM

It's been a while since I've experienced this. This happened in 2007, when I was Ten. My brother Chris was 18 at the time, and had lung cancer. He was growing weaker and weaker, he was coughing so much, and breathing was becoming hard for him. Very hard. On December 23rd 2007, 2 days before Christmas, I visited him in the Hospital. He was in the hospital because doctors expected him to pass very soon, and they didn't want him at home to die. Me and him acted very friendly towards each other. He acted like he had no cancer, and he was at home again. He laughed, he coughed, but suddenly he began to cry. He looked me right in the eye, and told me these words, the words that still haunt and make me cry to this day: "Rachel, I need you to know some things. No matter... [Read More]

Give and Take Away

Hello everyone. I wanted to share the inspiring story of a little baby boy who still lives in my school's hearts and in heaven today. I am an upperclassman in high school at a small private school. There was a little boy that was the brother of an elementary school boy at my school, who was born with many health problems. We prayed and prayed for this little baby boy to live. At some times, it seemed he would he would miraculously recover, but then a week later, he would relapse back into sickness. This little baby boy fought, though, with all of his strength. He'd never seen the walls of his home, only those of the hospital room, yet he persevered. He was the image of courage, and found a place in the hearts of all of us at my tiny private school. Well, one day, he seemed to... [Read More]

I told him I liked another guy, I could see the hatred and sadness in Jeff's eyes, he came with scars to school. Teachers nor students cared... I was still in love with him, even though he did not know that. He invited me to his place and we ended up making out...Word got out somehow and we were in deep shit I could only save myself I couldn't save him so I told him the same lie AGAIN. During the next... This story starts on a warm summer day, reader. It was summer and the birds are singing and the flowers are dancing and the winds are swimming. It was a normal summer day. And X wasn't happy. No, he/she wasn't. X was sad. No matter how many times X's friends and family tried to cheer It up. Nothing worked. he/she drowned out the sounds and ignored all the feelings of happiness. Why have I always been alone?

S...

16 Nov, 2012 10:55 PM

I haven't. In fact, I was never meant to be alone, but that changed when I was too young to remember. I lost my twin when I was about one year old. But I didn't know it. So this is how I was until a year or so ago: I developed a huge fear of losing a loved one, even though I wasn't aware of having ever lost anyone. that caused my OCD. So with those recurring anxieties, I was stressed, tired and afraid and always alone, even when I was with others. I was making it by, like other OCD sufferers, when I learned that I had lost my twin sister at a very early age. I overheard it, and after some dis belief, and digging around through my parents things, I found a few photos. I was forced to face my dead sister. That day I became an... [Read More]

The day he went alone..

Kimberly

It was two years ago. He had asked me to go ride bikes with him, but I refused. I was mad at the time. I'm not anymore. Anyway, he decided to go by himself..... He had gotten hit by a car. I ran to his side to see his bike handle bars had went through his chest. I pulled it out and tried to hold the wound closed. It didn't work well because I didn't have the necessary experience to stop the bleeding. I sat by his side holding his hand in mine. He kept mumbling about things I didn't understand. He gave a tight squeeze to my hand and whispered "I love you..." before the life left his eyes. I still remember that day...his blood on my clothes, the look in his eyes as he whispered to me, and the moment his eyes closed forever. I sat there cradling... [Read More]

Before I start I want to say this story is not real I made this up. When I'm older I want to be an author so could you comment if it was good or bad. Thank You The alarm clock beeped as Jenny woke up. It was 8:oo, she was late. When she got to school her friend (Lola) asked why she took so long to get dressed but Jenny didn't listen. Josh walked up to the door and entered his brown waves falling in one direction over his forehead. Lola nudged her doing an imitation of me, Jenny laughed. Maybe a little to loud because he looked over in her direction and waved. This shocked Jenny. She walked over to his seat and said: Hi josh said: Hey? His friend nodded at him Josh nodded back Josh: Wanna go out some time? Jenny: Yeah sure text me the details... [Read More]

Okay, my story starts when I was in 5th grade (now I'm in 11th) anyway, I made lots of new friends, which I was in resource. Though I made great friends and still have them. My first day of school I was terrified! I mean it was scary for me, I literally was crying. well anyway me and this girl became friends, her name was April. She became my best friend. She was funny, cool and a little crazy. April was the best friend I could ever ask for. She was a year older than me but we were in the same grade, we were in all the same classes all the way up to 9th and even then we had a few classes together. We always hung out and always acted crazy in the halls:) we acted like we owned the school...lol we weren't popular, but we did have... [Read More]
