Tragic Christmas

Mystic Nightshade

21 Aug, 2011 09:58 PM

She shook nervously as she watched him leave his friends to go home. This was her chance. She had been crushing on him for nearly a year. However, because she was so shy, she could never muster the courage to really confess her feelings to him. When she had first moved to this town, she was too shy to make any new friends. However, he had been nice enough to talk to her and show her around. He was so kind and he always seemed so happy. Every time he smiled at her, she felt a flutter in her stomach and her heart would beat faster. When he saw her, he smiled. He knew from the first time he saw her that she was different. She was kind and she always seemed to put the needs of others before her own. Unlike most of the girls at school, she wasn't... [Read More]

10 years of bitterness

Vanessa

10 Aug, 2011 10:21 AM

Hi I'm Vanessa from the Philippines. My lola (grandmother) died the afternoon of May 23rd, 2011. It's been 40 days since she left us. Just like any other Filipino Catholic family, we celebrated her 40th day. My sisters and I and some of our very close relatives went to a restaurant and had dinner. It made me think of my lola's death again. This thought had been haunting me since she died.. 'Why am I not that sad?' I should be sad because she is after all my grandmother. She helped my mom raise me.. but why am I feeling this way? Of course I do miss her. I cried at her funeral but I'm not sure why I was crying. I know it's disrespectful to speak ill of the dead but I just need to voice this one out. I just need to say this, just this one time... [Read More]

Don't Forget Me

Alex

09 Aug, 2011 04:21 PM

As the car made contact with my fragile body, all our memories passed by my eyes. I didn?t think about the pain. I thought about the things I would miss: My High School graduation, getting married, having children. And then, I thought about you. Your smile, your soft hair, the sound of your laugh. All of that would be gone, out of my reach, but the memories will never fade. I will never forget you. You will eventually move on, but all I ask from you, is remember me. Remember our good times, and remember our bad times. Remember our fights, and remember our apologies. My body lands in a heap on the side walk. Blood forms a pool around me. I hear screams from all directions. The car swerves and hits a tree. The driver, injured and clearly intoxicated, stumbles out of the car to my side. ?I?m so... [Read More]

Brown eyes

Emjii

This is what I most of all loved about Vince.. That day, he sat there watching me write my love story for our English class. He smiled at me. His eyes glistening. There's this happiness in his eyes. I felt so absurdly happy in his presence. I might not be able to tell him how much I loved him. He was the angel I've been asking God for years now. I love him till the ends of the world. Now I wonder what he feels for me. Can it be possible that he loves me as much? I stared at my paper. I read all that I've written. I realized how much my world revolves around him. I realized how much love I felt the first time we met. I can still remember it. How fast I was running to get to my next class. How hard it was to... [Read More]

The Day She Died

Emma

06 Aug, 2011 12:04 AM

IF YOU READ THE ENTIRE THING, I WILL GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! :) I would just like to first off say that this story is about me losing my step mom in April 2011 when I was and am currently 18 years old. Her name was Lisa and she was only 35. I had known her since I was 9 years old, which at this point is half of my life. I wanna say that she was so young and healthy, she was a typical girly girl who enjoyed reading gossip magazines, watching reality shows and sipping on fruity drinks. She was so hilarious and sarcastic and put a smile on my face every day. Whenever I was upset, she always knew what to say and how to handle the situation. I will miss her greatly. There's always that one thing you never hope to hear. I sure as hell thought... [Read More]

My Life

mayflower

31 Jul, 2011 09:51 PM

I don't know how exactly to start out the story so i guess ill start of with the first sad thing? I was born into this world with a heart condition called I.H.S.S. I can't play any sports, i can't get too mad. My heart rate can't too high or i could die. I can't do many things actually. I can't work out too much and i can't eat many sweets. I found this out when i was 8. I ran to my mom saying i wanted to play a sport. I don't remember what it was, but I've always wanted to play softball. She told me i couldn't. I asked why, and, well, there's the answer. Along with a heart condition, I was born with a gene to be very overweight. I was adopted, and i didn't know that 'til i was about 11. And you know, when your... [Read More]

Best Friends Forever

Life Pops

31 Jul, 2011 05:20 AM

My story is base from my own experience and is a true to life. It all started when I was on 6th grade. I was the Table Tennis captain and was considered the best athlete in school. At the Intramural Sports Fest, my cousin went to watch my game, and he introduced me to Maureen, his classmate. I knew her ever since we were young, but I never talked to her since we have different peers and that she's a year older than me. When the match was over and my opponent won, Maureen comforted me as my cousin laughed at me. She asked me if I would want to watch her game that will start in about ten minutes, and since I was lost and not in the mood to go somewhere alone, I said yes. The tennis court was filled with people, my cousin went to buy some... [Read More]

What Have I Done?

Teri Bailey

27 Jul, 2011 05:20 PM

What Have I Done? It was one of those days when its a few minutes from raining and a sort of electricity fills the air.. The sun shines a bright beam through the winter clouds. There's truly nothing like it...All the worries in the world seem to vanish before me. How does nature give such a feeling. I don't believe anything can replace this brief moment. But as i sit here gazing at the crystal blue lake, and as a rain drop rolls down my left cheek like a river, i begin to think. Where exactly am i going to dump this body. I constantly ask myself why i did this but never usually come up with an answer..but today i did. Today was very different to most. Maybe that electricity that was in the air has given logic to this all. But there's not much time now to dwell... [Read More]
